NTT DATA Corporation
Information Technology System Co., Ltd.

NTT DATA Corporation (NTT DATA; Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Toru Yamashita) today acquired 77.2 percent of the shares outstanding of Information Technology System Co., Ltd. (ITECS; Head office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Takao Hayashi). The objective of the acquisition is to facilitate collaboration between the two firms in the area of human resource management (HRM) software packages for Biz∫ (integral), a next-generation enterprise solution currently being promoted by NTT DATA.

Under the new management structure, ITECS aims to achieve dramatic growth through greater specialization in HR solutions.

Alliance Objectives

NTT DATA and ITECS, which launched NTT DATA Biz Integral Corporation on June 1, 2009, are currently promoting Biz∫, a next-generation enterprise solution that provides flexible and agile linkages between enterprise processes. Based on consulting services for corporate innovation, the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Business Process Management (BPM) platforms, Biz∫ provides all-encompassing, best-of-breed enterprise solutions by bringing together the capabilities of the nation’s best software package vendors.

This Alliance with ITECS will allow NTT DATA to strengthen collaboration with the company--which boasts one of the nation’s top track records in the development and sale of HRM software packages and the provision of operational support and maintenance services on such packages--in addition to quickly securing a lineup of HRM products and bringing people with considerable expertise in the field into the NTT DATA Group. These advantages will enable NTT DATA to accelerate the advance of the Biz∫ business.

ITECS will capitalize on the alliance to achieve further growth and development as an IT solutions company offering overall HRM support. It plans to enhance its product competitiveness by responding to the Biz∫ SOA and BPM platforms while further improving the product functions of its existing brand, Pro_Staff. It will also seek new business opportunities from the extensive customer base of the NTT DATA Group.

Both NTT DATA and ITECS will help clients realize innovation through offering Biz∫ solutions.
