NTT DATA Corporation
NTT DATA Corporation (President and CEO: Toru Yamashita; Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; hereinafter referred to as “NTT DATA”), through its subsidiary NTT DATA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd (Head office: Singapore), reached a final agreement on August 28 to acquire 51 percent of the shares outstanding of and enter into a capital alliance with Extend Technologies Group Holdings Pty Ltd. (Managing Director: Maxwell White; Head office: Brisbane, Australia; hereinafter referred to as “Extend”).
In January 2008, in order to respond to the needs of customers that are Japanese-owned global corporations, NTT DATA acquired itelligence AG, a company with key centers in Germany and the United States, establishing a global services and support system for SAP in Europe and the United States. Through this capital alliance with Extend, NTT DATA will expand its SAP support system into the Asia Pacific region, and further strengthen its global support system for its customers.
This alliance will enable Extend to gain access to NTT DATA Group’s customers, as well as its solutions, know-how, and global resources, making it possible for Extend to set its sights on expanding its business to also include the Asian regions.
