Launch of OpenCube(R) WorkFlow R/1 for Office SharePoint Server 2007

(headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Yasuyuki Higuchi), will launch the workflow software OpenCube^® WorkFlow R/1 for Office SharePoint Server 2007 as the latest addition to the OpenCube Series, with sales to begin January 5, 2009.

The first product of its type in Japan, OpenCube WorkFlow R/1 for Office SharePoint Server 2007 is a full-fledged workflow software package designed specifically for use with Microsoft^® Office SharePoint^® Server 2007, the corporate information platform system provided by Microsoft. It takes advantage of Windows Workflow Foundation functionality as well as supporting the Office 2007 ribbon UI.

With the provision of this product, workflow functions in a SharePoint Server 2007 environment are dramatically improved; moreover, the package will help companies realize the kind of secure and highly refined information sharing platform necessary for internal control.

Product Overview

Microsoft's SharePoint Server 2007 is already well on the way to establishing a presence in Japanese enterprises. The need for an advanced workflow system integrated into the corporate information sharing platform is now greater than ever, as companies strive to enhance their compliance in response to the new J-SOX law on internal control, revised accounting standards, and other changes in the corporate environment.

The new product, building on the concept and technology of the workflow package OpenCube lite and incorporating recent needs of various customers, was developed as a dedicated workflow application for SharePoint Server 2007.

• Workflow circulates based on user information and organizational information centrally managed in Active Directory.
• The workflow routes can be designed easily using Microsoft Visio.
• Management of created and approved information is carried out uniformly in SharePoint Server 2007, promoting improved affinity with other Microsoft Office documents and more effective use.
• Standard provision of functions for connection with external systems enables information linking with the company's core system as well.
• Multilingual support is a boon to corporations with global operations.
