NTT DATA Issues Group CSR Report 2009
Dec. 25, 2009
NTT DATA Corporation
Today NTT DATA issued its latest summary of corporate social responsibility initiatives, the NTT DATA Group CSR Report 2009 (English version).
This report is a cornerstone of stakeholder communication. The NTT DATA Group aims to provide more comprehensive information to all stakeholders through the report and to carry out CSR activities that continue to earn their trust. This is the first year for NTT DATA Group to issue its CSR Report in English, along with the Japanese version.
Features of the Report
- Outline of Group Initiatives in Three Fields: Environment, Society, and People
In addition to outlining the NTT DATA Group's commitment to its stakeholders and environmental activities in and around fiscal 2008, the report contains special features on the environment, society, and people. These provide examples of initiatives so that readers can easily assess the Group's efforts to fulfil its mission and responsibilities by responding to social issues and requirements through its main business operations. - Improvements from Last Year (Enhanced Information Disclosure)
Based on feedback received last year from third parties and a questionnaire completed by Group employees, the new report aims to provide a clear overall picture of efforts and progress with a view to improved information disclosure. To this end, we have enhanced the information provided by combining the report with additional data on our website, and included a list of key "Major Initiatives during Fiscal 2009 and Future Plans". - Environmentally Responsible and Reader-Friendly
In collaboration with Morino Chonai-Kai (the Forest Neighborhood Association), paper produced from trees felled in the course of forest thinning was used for the main pages of the report. This process makes effective use of wood by-products from thinning, which helps forests flourish. To accurately convey information to people with various types of color vision, the principles of Color Universal Design have also been applied to production of the report.
