Japan

NTT DATA has built up a dominant position in the public administration field in Japan, building large-scale systems for government ministries and agencies and taking part in numerous other national projects. For local public agencies we provide support for creating various operation management systems for system optimization. We also contribute to the development of local communities by employing information technology in wide-area disaster and emergency medical information systems, and in nursing care support systems.

We develop and manage cross-industry, shared network systems, such as those managing exchange operations for financial institutions throughout Japan, which are helping corporate customers become more efficient. Our next-generation banking applications for shared accounting systems serving financial institutions are highly regarded, and are helping us expand our business in this area. Our comprehensive card settlement network service and a network service used by financial institutions to handle financial transactions, which are essential to payment solutions, are drawing traffic on a growing basis.

We provide International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)-compliant services, global consulting programs, and diverse solutions to brokerage firms, life and non-life insurance companies, and many other financial industry customers, as well as those in a wide range of industries including construction, real estate, manufacturing, logistics, retail, broadcasting, media, advertising, communications, transportation, and energy. In these ways we are building up a strong track record and know-how while contributing to customers as their business partner.

NTT DATA is vigorously expanding its range of business activities. We have reinforced our capabilities in the U.S. through the acquisitions of M.I.S.I Company Limited, the Revere Group Limited, Intelligence Inc. and Intelligroup, Inc. Moreover, collaboration with NTT America, an NTT Communications affiliate, allows us to deliver a comprehensive solution for each client.
NTT DATA Group in the U.S. provides solution services including IT strategy consulting, operational efficiency consulting, business intelligence, a variety of ERP system implementations, application development, technical staff augmentation, IT outsourcing and managed hosting services. Additionally, we have a strong Web strategy through which we offer powerful tools and methodologies based on the "user experience" concept. Our clients are well known in the sectors of manufacturing, finance, healthcare, pharmaceutical science and manufacturing, entertainment and government, and they range from Fortune 500 corporations to medium-sized companies. The tailored solutions we offer serve to align our clients' businesses and processes over the entire IT system life cycle.

Europe and Middle East
Over the past few years, we have expanded our IT service networks in Europe through the acquisition of a majority stake in Intelligence AG--a global SAP partner--and Cirquent GmbH, a former information system subsidiary of BMW.
NTT DATA Group offers best-in-class consulting services and enterprise solutions for industries in the manufacturing, banking, insurance, telecommunications, and service sectors. Our consulting services range from business process consulting to conceptual design, implementation and integration, as well as the support, operation and maintenance of IT systems. Additional offerings include outsourcing, hosting and full-service solutions in the ERP environment. Thus we provide a portfolio of solutions and services that are tailored to suit the entire life cycle of IT investment.

China
In the China region, the NTT DATA GROUP consists of 20 companies including both consolidated subsidiaries and capital alliance partners, employing more than 1,700 persons in the consolidated subsidiaries. In addition to these Group firms, we have made minor investments in several companies as offshore development partners. Altogether we can call on the services of more than 7,000 personnel in this region.
Of these partners, BEIJING NTT DATA SYSTEMS INTEGRATION CO., LTD. (BND), established for the purpose of providing development and maintenance of China's postal savings system, began offshore development projects for Japanese customers in 1999; and in 2003, BEIJING NTT DATA JAPAN CO., Ltd was established to provide bridge coordinator functions and receive orders for SI business. In 2008, TIANJIN NTT DATA CO., Ltd. specializing in legacy system development was established. These companies currently make up the BND Group of some 850 personnel, forming a key foundation for NTT DATA offshore development.
Among the initiatives aimed at Chinese domestic business, in 2010 YUXIN DATA Technologies Limited, established as a joint venture with one of China's leading IT vendors serving financial institutions, began offering cloud business based on shared-use Internet banking services; while Shanghai NTT DATA Synergy Software Co., Ltd., with its strengths in the credit card field and banking services, is expanding IT services for China's financial institutions and carrying out leading-edge solution introduction and development services.
In addition to these, NTT DATA INTRAMART SOFTWARE SYSTEM (SHANGHAI) CO., LTD. provides Web application building expertise and assistance along with the intra-mart ERP solution. Shenzhen NTT DATA East Net Co., Ltd., based in the Huanan area where so many global Japanese companies are located, provides consulting to help Japanese companies, mostly in the manufacturing industry, introduce production control and other core systems and solve problems. The company also offers IT services enabling companies to maximize their utilization of core systems after introduction. Through these and other Group companies, we are working to expand our business in the China region.

APAC
We have strengthened customer support for Japanese multinational corporations, primarily in the rapidly growing automotive and electronics industries in Asia. In order to serve the market needs better, we have established NTT DATA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, NTT DATA (Thailand) Limited in Thailand, Shenzhen NTT DATA East Net Co., Ltd. in China, NTT DATA Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. and NTT DATA Vietnam Company Limited, and further acquired Business Formula (M) Sdn Bhd and Extend Technologies Group Holdings Pty Ltd.
NTT DATA Group offers IT services, which includes SAP consulting and implementation, business process improvements and supply chain management, as well as operation and maintenance supports with newly furnished data center in Malaysia.
The NTT DATA Group is increasingly promoting offshore development and outsourcing. We have formed partnerships with large and growing list of companies in China, India and Vietnam. Acquisition of Vertex, an Indian offshore company, has driven NTT DATA Group to establish a reliable structure for global offshore development. Furthermore, Intelligroup Inc. (headquartered in US), one of the largest ERP service providers and a leader in offshore (India) based application development, maintenance, and testing, has become our group company since July 2010.
