Intelligent case summarization with generative AI to speed up CPS’ administration of the justice system

The Crown Prosecution Service is responsible for reviewing more than 450,000 cases every year. Balancing the acceleration of the case review process, while maintaining legal rigor helps drive transformation of their core business. CPS wanted to explore ways in which they could leverage large language models (LLMs) to create innovative solutions that bring immediate benefits to civil servants and enable prosecutors to serve the public more effectively.
