NTT DATA Malaysia is looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Java)
What you will be working on:
- Participate in application development lifecycle – analyze, design, build, deploy, test, release & support
- Maintain and enhance core financial system with roadmap of revamp into microservices architecture in near future
- Study, analyse existing application code structure and produce technical design and responsible for key / complex development tasks
- Ensure all codes produced are fit for purpose and meet the expected quality and security requirements
- Perform critical tasks required by project execution and production support as necessary
- Provide coaching and mentoring for junior team members
- Ensure deliverables adhere to organization’s development guidelines & standards
- Ensure timely completion of tasks assigned
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication) or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of solid experience in Java application development (Preferably in Financial Service/Banking Institution industry)

Must have skills in the following subjects:
- Core Java
- Experience in OO analysis & design using common design patterns.
- SQL Programming
- Web services (SOAP, RESTful, etc) & web development technologies
- Common Java MVC frameworks (Spring, Struts, etc)
- Development tools & utilities (IntelliJ, Eclipse, SVN etc.)
- Java EE Application Server (IBM WebSphere, Tomcat, Wildfly, etc)
- RDBMS platforms (Microsoft SQL, Oracle Database, IBM DB2, etc.)
- Good to have: Core PHP
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and design skill, familiar with the system development methodology
- Demonstrate ability to do documentation and communicate operational procedures to team members.
- Independent, pro-active, curious and keen learner with leadership qualities
- Proficient in English with good interpersonal and communication skills
