Modernizing Operations for efficient housing projects in the Digital Economy

NTT DATA Philippines (NDPH), the leading global end-to-end solutions provider with the mission of creating high value IT solutions and services for medium-sized to large enterprises, and Habitat for Humanity, the international, non-governmental, and nonprofit organization which provides affordable housing needs in the Philippines and across the globe, held the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement and official launch of the Intranet Portal Automation Project. The implementation of the project is set to eliminate all manual processes for five (5) departments comprising of Top Level Site, HR Site, Project Site, Legal Site and Volunteer Program.

The Automation has been identified to address Habitat’s enormous system challenges such as the manual preparation & transmission of data, lack of integration between existing systems leading to unnecessary and costly unplanned IT costs, compliance issues, significant delays from manual government and financial reports, security concerns using multiple tools via unsecured channel for sensitive information and difficulty in tracking the files and documents.

With the rollout of the project powered by Microsoft O365 SharePoint Online, realizing one of the benefits is it allows you to streamline communication and collaboration across the organization, giving employees and project teams access to collaborative tools with just an Internet connection. Mr. Mike Meaney, Managing Director of Habitat for Humanity Philippines said, “We found the implementation of SharePoint Portal to be a very functional and dependable that the various departments involved in the project depend on for their business. After researching the many available products, SharePoint is the clear winner in the cost-value analysis.”

The project is developed and deployed using Microsoft Office 365 SharePoint Online.
