Collectius Group is the leading restructuring partner for financial institutions in Asia, with nearly two decades of experience in credit management services and purchase of non-performing loan portfolios of distressed consumer debt. “We support people in managing their finances and look to humanize and transform the recovery process,” Collectius’ vision is clearly illustrated in this effort of transforming a traditional industry into a more technology-forward and customer-focused endeavor.
Previously, debt recovery was a pen-and-paper driven business with no proper systems in place. Unlike other agencies, Collectius did have a collection platform but it didn’t however meet its needs and vision for the company. The previous platform was not stable enough, and as an example, Collectius was not able to automate communication, integrate easily with third party API’s nor analyze customer data to serve customers efficiently. With a growing demand and additional portfolios acquired, a new platform was required to provide the customer experience as part of its vision.
NTT DATA became a key partner in helping Collectius bridge this gap and support their digital transformation strategy to adopt a customer-centric approach to their operations. Prior to the partnership, Collectius underwent a thorough procurement process comparing various cloud technologies and vendors before finalizing on Microsoft and NTT DATA as its preferred choice.

This partnership also resulted in the first complete system implementation in the Philippines. Through this strategic partnership, Collectius found NTT DATA as a solution-oriented partner with the expertise to provide recommendations that met their needs as they continued adding functionalities to their platform.
During the project, Collectius worked in cross-functional teams across the organization and had employees involved throughout the entire implementation process. “This has been key for the success,” shares Collectius, who added that the platform had also enabled them to improve its customer service delivery as well as save on internal time and cost.
Collectius has also benefited from Microsoft’s continuous upgrades to the platform to deliver a customer-centric experience. Coupled with NTT DATA’s customized service that meets Collectius’ needs to continuously build functionality, this has led to a bespoke experience that has elevated the whole landscape of traditional financial services industry.
