NTT DATA Singapore and Vuzix Corporation Announce Expanded Partnership

Singapore, December 15, 2016 -- NTT DATA Singapore Pte. Ltd, a group company of NTT DATA global leading IT services provider, and Vuzix, a leading supplier of Smart Glasses, Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR), today announced that NTT DATA Singapore has joined Vuzix Industrial Partnership to deliver enterprise smart glasses solution in Asia Pacific region.

NTT DATA Singapore provides Smart Operation Support Solution that realizes cost reduction, optimized operations and higher productivity of maintenance tasks by integrating Vuzix smart glasses hardware with application software developed by NTT DATA. NTT DATA Singapore and Vuzix plan to expand the collaboration in other Asia Pacific areas with new solutions and through a global marketing promotion.

Smart Operation Support Solution enables remote monitoring and remote support of onsite maintenance person via smart glasses connected to remote supervisor. The following points are the main features of this solution.

1. Support Hands free user interface
   Maintenance technicians can manipulate smart glasses command menus via voice recognition, gyro mouse and gesture control.

2. Task Management
   Supervisors can configure the task list of each maintenance technician and easily monitor the status of each task remotely in real time.

3. Remote communication
   Features supported include video call, voice call, sharing of real-time pictures and remote expert assistance, and can be used for multiple objectives during maintenance and operations.
