A Message From Our MD
The Covid-19 pandemic has changed the world in ways we have never seen, in a time where disruption has brought grief, financial difficulty and tumultuous changes globally. Our daily lives have been turned on its head, as we endure being separated from our family, friends, and watch as the world grieves.
At NTT DATA Singapore, we join in solidarity with all nations across the globe, to fight this pandemic. In a recent speech on the 3rd of April, our Prime Minister announced that all non-essential services and businesses are to be closed, and working from home is mandatory for those who do not need to be in the office.
As our priority is the safety of our employees, clients, our community at large, we have followed the new guidelines strictly and have closed our office from 7th April till the 4th of May.
Though the office will remain shut for this circuit breaker period, we have already activated our business continuity plans and are working closely with clients to minimize disruptions, maintain their operations and support their workforce. Within the company, we have started working from home on Monday 6th of April, and we will continue to do so until advised further.
In addition, we are launching an intiative called the NTT DATA Singapore Employee Care Line, which is an internal committee set up to assist any member of staff that may be facing financial, or emotional challenges during these difficult times.
We value our employees and understand that some of you may require additional financial or emotional support during this crisis, and we will make sure that this support is available should you need it, and you do not have to go through this alone.
As an organization, we remain united and resolute, and place our trust in our nation’s leadership. Let us all do our part to help flatten the curve, not over burden our healthcare system by practicing social responsibility and staying home. We must stand united and be the frontline to stop the spread.
Let’s continue to look ahead with positivity and know that better days will return, where we will be united with our loved ones, friends and colleagues again.
Stay safe and be well.
