Creating the Ideal Environment for AI Talent

AI Talent: Key Strategies for Building the Right Ecosystem

26 March 2025

Generative AI (GenAI) is advancing at an unprecedented speed. While we were closely watching the development of intelligent agents (Agentic AI), one of the most significant technological trends of 2025 according to leading industry analysts, a new disruption emerged from China: DeepSeek. It's already proven that AI models can be developed and trained with a focus on sustainability—optimizing resource usage, controlling costs, and minimizing energy consumption. Is AI on the verge of its next major breakthrough?

Strong leadership is crucial for fostering the right environment for AI talent in this fast-evolving landscape.

The top priority is equipping employees with the necessary training. According to the Global GenAI Report by NTT DATA (2025), two out of three Latin American companies acknowledge that their employees lack the necessary skills to work with GenAI. The upskilling of all employees cannot be delayed. In our company, we have developed a training framework to equip our 200,000+ employees with the knowledge to excel in this evolving environment.

However, defining the framework is just the beginning. The active commitment of leaders—demonstrating their engagement and participation in training processes—is essential to inspire their teams and drive adoption.

But the journey doesn’t stop there.

And that's only the beginning. Promoting adoption is another critical step in creating the right environment for AI talent in the GenAI era. Despite having access to these tools, many individuals fail to incorporate them into their daily routines, even after receiving training or becoming familiar with the technology, simply because they forget or have not fully integrated it into their routines.

It is crucial to implement incentives for usage, emphasize the benefits of AI in daily tasks, and, most importantly, eliminate tensions and uncertainties.

It's only natural for new technologies to cause hesitation and uncertainty.

In this context, fostering a “human-to-human” collaborative environment—already a challenging task—is no longer sufficient on its own. It is time to incorporate "human-to-AI agent” relationships into the strategy. We must encourage people to experiment, explore AI’s capabilities and benefits, and verify that this technology has the potential to improve their quality of life.

Trust-building in human behavior follows a paradoxical cycle. We gravitate toward what we trust – yet to build trust — but trust can only be developed through direct engagement. As AI professionals gain more hands-on experience with generative AI tools, they will better understand their benefits and increasingly incorporate them into their workflows. Over time, AI may become as familiar and indispensable as our most trusted colleagues, seamlessly integrating into the way we work.
