TOKYO – June 30, 2022 – NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services leader, today announces the release of a white paper outlining the architectural concept for the global trusted dataspaces that it has been working to develop in partnership with NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), based on technologies and knowledge provided by Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT).

Overview of the White Paper

From the perspective of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), corporations are facing calls from investors, customers, citizens, and governments to adopt measures that help address environmental and human rights issues. To provide solutions, a global structure is needed to facilitate the trusted distribution of data across corporate and organizational boundaries. NTT DATA, together with NTT Com, is utilizing the technologies and knowledge of NTT to create a global trusted dataspaces that will allow for secure data flows across organizations and industries.
The newly released White Paper presents the issues involved in realizing a global trusted dataspaces and the measures taken up to now, as well as plans for future verification testing and technology development.

Future Plans

Going forward, NTT DATA plans to conduct verification testing and technology development jointly with NTT Com and NTT, disclosing the knowledge acquired and measures accordingly. Further, the companies will invite participation from corporations and organizations in various industries, such as automobiles, aviation, and energy, aiming to realize a global trusted dataspaces through open co-creation.
