NTT DATA announces a capital alliance with Wizardsgroup a Philippine IT service company

NTT DATA Corporation, through its subsidiary NTT DATA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. (President and CEO: Ryoji Fukaya; Head office: Singapore; hereinafter referred to as “NDAP”), reached an agreement to obtain 100% of outstanding shares in Wizardsgroup, Inc., (Managing Director: Pocholo S. Reyes; Head office: Metro Manila, Philippines; hereinafter referred to as “Wizardsgroup”), which is one of the major partners with Oracle and Microsoft in the Philippines.
Wizardsgroup has built up its strength particularly in high value IT consulting and learning solutions for Oracle and Microsoft technologies mainly in Philippine market.
The transaction is a part of NTT DATA’s core strategy to accelerate its global business and to widen its global customer base, offering portfolio and presence outside of Japan. The collaboration with Wizardsgroup will help NTT DATA drive business in the Philippines faster, and also enables it to leverage capabilities of the Philippine company in the Asia-Pacific, North American and European regions.
NTT DATA has been researching the Philippine IT market and exploring business opportunities through the representative office, and first established an SAP solution company to start SAP business in the Philippines this year. This time, NTT DATA has entered into a capital alliance with Wizardsgroup, one of the leading Philippine IT companies with capabilities both for Oracle and Microsoft.
Wizardsgroup has advanced capabilities on Microsoft technology implementation and Oracle Exadata*1 that can offer advanced analytics services to provide support for the clients to solve business challenges and harness the power of digital. Combining its expertise both for Oracle and Microsoft with NTT DATA’s existing SAP capability will strengthen ability to offer wider solutions across various sectors especially in telecom, financial services, healthcare, automotive, etc. in the Philippines and around the world.
