NTT DATA Corporation redesigns organizational structure to accelerate growth in NTT DATA group business on July 1st, 2017.
NTT DATA reached the Global 1st Stage “Increased global coverage,” the goal of the Company’s strategy for global operations, in the process of its global business promotion, and has since been pursuing the goals of the Global 2ndStage, which are “Recognized global brand” and “Overseas sales ratio of 50%”. In the last fiscal year, NTT DATA Services joined the Company’s Group, making us a group of more than 110,000 employees operating in 51 countries and regions all over the world.
To seek further globalization toward the Global 3rd Stage, and to achieve a new goal of “Trusted Global Innovator”, we will improve our local presence in market, strengthen our relationships with global clients and better understanding the business in a timely manner under our organization redesigned to enhance our promotion and management of global business.
2. Enhancement of Cross-regional business function
We would transfer the current global operational functions under the Global Business Sector, such as the global account service (which provides support for global and key Accounts) and offering service (which provides cross-regional solutions), to the newly established Global Marketing Headquarters.
By shifting those functions to the Head Office, we will provide Cross-regional business functions more smoothly not only to overseas but also to NTT DATA group as a whole, and promote cross-regional collaboration.
3. Expansion of the China & APAC Business through alignment with Asia and Japan.
We also launch the China & APAC Business Sector, and transfer our businesses in China and the APAC region from the Global Business Sector to the new Sector. At the same time, we will manage to create collaborations between the three existing domestic business fields (Public & Social Infrastructure Segment, Financial Segment, and Enterprise & Solutions Segment) and the China & APAC Business.
By accelerating our internal cooperation among Japan, China and APAC countries, we intend to grow the Group’s China & APAC Business and strengthen its presence in the Chinese and APAC markets, which are expected to significantly grow in the future.
Since our overseas business, by mean of business portfolio and geographic coverage has expanded, we intend to improve our strategy-making and manage functions and thus aim to attain the goals of the Global 2nd Stage and grow further toward the Global 3rd Stage.
