Organized by The R&A (The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews) in the U.K., The Open is one of the four major tournaments in professional golf. It has a 150-year long history, and golfers all around the world aspire to compete here. NTT DATA is an Official Patron of this world-class sporting event, and offers groundbreaking solutions for spectators to enjoy the competition in ways never before.
NTT DATA has been an Official Patron and IT Provider of The Open since the 142nd tournament (2013) held at the Muirfield Golf Links in Scotland.
In order to offer spectators the best experience possible in the midst of the global pandemic, NTT DATA has moved the Data Wall - an interactive digital sinage centerpiecing spectator engagement, online.
The COVID-19 pandemic has heavily impacted our lives, but at the same time brought about rapid progress in the field of online communication and digital technology.
Similarly, the NTT DATA Wall has shifted online this year to become the NTT DATA Experience, in order to adapt to the situation. 8 billion data points are analyzed and presented to fans through the Live Stream function, fully enriching the real-time online experience.
With the My Newsfeed function, fans can receive immediate curated updates regarding players, scores, shots taken, and other relevant news about their favorite players.
The NTT DATA Experience allows you to enjoy the British Open from all angles, recreating the on-site experience.
NTT DATA Experience will be released on July 15 at 9:30 BST.
