TOKYO – October 14, 2020 — NTT DATA, a leading IT services provider, today announced that it has placed No. 3 on the 2020 IDC FinTech Rankings Top 100. The high ranking reflects NTT DATA's continued growth across industries and strength in financial services, insurance, payments and capital markets.
IDC's 17th annual FinTech Ranking includes the top hardware, software and service providers to the financial services industry from around the world. Vendors that derive at least one-third of their revenue in the finance sector are ranked based on 2019 calendar year revenues attributed to financial institutions. These providers supply the technological backbone of the financial services industry, an industry in which IDC Financial Insights forecasts worldwide spending on IT across the globe to exceed $577 billion (USD) by 2024.
"Financial services firms are pushing their IT capabilities to the limit to increase their competitiveness and prepare for the future," said Hisashi Matsunaga, Director and Executive Vice President, Head of Banking Headquarters, NTT DATA Corporation. "We've built a strong track record in the industry, as evidenced by our second straight third-place showing on the IDC FinTech Rankings list. We look forward to continuing our work providing the world's leading financial institutions with the right digital solutions to help them deliver superior customer service, accelerate business growth and simplify their organizations."
Data for the annual IDC FinTech Rankings is gathered from surveys completed by vendors, as well as original research and market analysis conducted by IDC Financial Insights.
