NTT DATA's Net-Zero Targets Approved by SBTi
Net-Zero Greenhouse Gas Emissions throughout the Supply Chain by 2040

TOKYO – Mar 15, 2024 – NTT DATA Group, a global digital business and IT services leader, obtained approval for its Net-Zero targets from the "Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi)*1.
NTT DATA Group has announced "NTT DATA NET-ZERO Vision 2040*2" in June 2023 as its targets to achieve Net-Zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. SBTi approved the Net-Zero targets stated in this "NTT DATA NET-ZERO Vision 2040".
NTT DATA Group will continue to make innovation toward Net-Zero throughout its supply chain globally.
In addition, NTT DATA Group will utilize its know-how to drive Net-Zero for the clients and whole society.
Outline of Obtaining Approval
NTT DATA Group has revised its Net-Zero GHG emissions targets in June 2023 considering the growing global trends for initiatives to achieve Net-Zero and the expansion of its business through the integration with NTT Limited. Specifically, the timeline for achieving Net-Zero based on the SBTi Net-Zero Standard has been brought forward by 10 years to 2040 from 2050, with these targets incorporated into the newly formulated "NTT DATA NET-ZERO Vision 2040". NTT DATA Group aims to achieve Net-Zero for direct and indirect emissions from its own operations (Scope1, 2) for data centers by 2030, the entire company including offices and other facilities by 2035, and its entire supply chain (Scope3) by 2040.The approval from SBTi confirms that NTT DATA Group's Net-Zero targets meet the SBTi Net-Zero Standard and are science-based Net-Zero targets.
Further, considering the expansion of its business through the integration with NTT Limited, NTT DATA Group revised its Near-Term targets and obtained approval from SBTi also for the new targets.
Future Plans
NTT DATA Group has signed the commitment to Business Ambition for 1.5°C*3 in March 2021. NTT DATA Group will continue to drive Net-Zero initiatives and aim to meet its targets, as well as contribute to the greening of clients and society by providing new technologies that contribute to the realization of Net-Zero.
