NTT DATA Selected for Inclusion in the DJSI World Index for a Sixth Consecutive Year
World’s leading ESG investment index

TOKYO – December 16, 2022 – NTT DATA, a global digital business and IT services leader, has been selected for inclusion in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) World Index, a global benchmark for ESG investment, for a 6th consecutive year. NTT DATA has also been selected for the Asia Pacific Index, comprising companies from the Asia Pacific region, for a 14th consecutive year. The review results for the indices were announced on December 9, 2022.
The DJSI is a stock index created by the U.S. firm S&P Dow Jones Indices. Each year, S&P Dow Jones Indices assesses the sustainability of companies using ESG criteria, and taking into account their market capitalization, selects the leading companies overall. The World Index comprises the top companies from all industry sectors in terms of sustainability, while the Asia Pacific Index includes companies from the Asia Pacific region.
NTT DATA was selected for the “IT Services & Internet Software Services” category of the World Index for a sixth consecutive year. The company was also included in the Asia Pacific Index for a 14th consecutive year.
The 2022 World Index comprises a total of 332 companies (of which, 36 are Japanese) from around 3,500 major companies around the world. The Asia Pacific Index comprises a total of 156 companies (of which, 74 are Japanese) from around 600 major companies in the Asia Pacific region.
NTT DATA included “Sustainability Management” as one of the key elements in its new mid-term management plan announced in May 2022. Going forward, NTT DATA will aim to contribute to realizing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that represent common challenges for the world, while also strengthening its ESG communications, and taking steps to help provide solutions to the challenges facing society.
