Tokyo, March 18, 2020 — NTT DATA, the leading IT services provider, has concluded a capital and strategic business alliance with US-based DataRobot Inc. (CEO: Jeremy Achin), aimed at accelerating the expansion of their Digital Success™ program, which helps companies utilize AI and data and integrate them into their actual business practices. NTT DATA plans to deliver the Digital Success Program to 20 companies by fiscal 2023, supported by more than 100 Digital Success Managers.

In the alliance, NTT DATA and DataRobot have agreed to:

1. Strengthen the Digital Success Program

The Digital Success Program is a program for practical business transformation based on experience with business transformation through AI and data utilization at more than 500 global companies, and support for AI and data democratization. NTT DATA Group's more than 1,000 AI and data utilization specialists provide systematic support for the four components of AI and data utilization (business strategy, IT infrastructure, data management, and personnel/structures) from concept planning to implementation, operation, and results generation. The program offers a total solution that merges NTT DATA's AI and data utilization with the technology-crossing utilization support and success generation of its partner companies in the DX field, including DataRobot, Informatica, ThoughtSpot, Tableau, and Salesforce.2
The Digital Success Program will be integrated with DataRobot's customer success knowledge and advanced experience that has led to the successful utilization of AI for its customers by establishing AI at companies, mainly in the U.S. and Europe, making it part of actual business operations, and AI democratization.

2. Establish and operate the Digital Success Specialist Group

A specialist organization comprising NTT DATA's Digital Success Managers, data scientist, and AI and cloud structure engineers, together with specialists from DataRobot will be established to make a concerted effort to contribute to successful business transformation for client companies.

3. Train and develop Digital Success Managers

NTT DATA will train and develop Digital Success Managers able to implement business transformation from the standpoint of corporate AI and data utilization, through the sharing of know-how based on the experience of both companies with DX support through AI and data utilization, exchange of personnel, and support from DataRobot's AI Success Managers and Customer Facing Data Scientists.3

Kazumasa Taninaka, Head of NTT DATA's AI&IoT Division, said "this alliance combines NTT DATA's knowledge of IT infrastructure, AI, and data utilization with DataRobot's customer success knowledge and global experience in support of the Digital Success Program, which will allow businesses to transform themselves by utilizing AI and data at the enterprise level."
