Role: Nobuyuki Tainaka was appointed Director and Audit & Supervisory Committee Member of NTT DATA Group Corporation in 2023.

Experience: Nobuyuki joined NTT DATA Corporation as a board member and audit committee member in June 2023. Prior to this, he served as an executive officer at Canon Inc., overseeing legal affairs from April 2014 to March 2023. He began his career at Canon Inc. in April 1986, gaining experiences as a legal expert in key areas including business alliances (such as establishing distribution channels), M&A transactions (including post-merger integrations), business restructurings (like the setup and shutdown of subsidiaries), and human resource reforms (including the introduction of a part-time system). In his final years at Canon Inc., he took the initiative, as an executive officer to establish and operate a risk management system that was implemented across Canon group companies worldwide.
